Workshop: Business Intelligence (BI) Data Viz Fundamentals with Metabase

Workshop: Business Intelligence Data Viz Fundamentals in Metabase

Learn about the fundamentals of data visualization for Business Intelligence (BI) in this workshop and how it can differ from other forms of data visualization. This workshop will be a hands on training for how to build BI data viz using the open source data analysis platform Metabase.

We’ll cover:
– What is BI and how it impacts data viz requirements
– What is Metabase and why we might use it instead of Tableau or PowerBI. (Open Source = no licensing costs)
– Data viz options in Metabase

You’ll learn:
– How to explore and visualize data using Metabase
– How to build dashboards
– What kinds of data and data visualizations are commonly useful to businesses.

Please bring a laptop or friend with a laptop!
